The history of the Town of Stanley will be on full display when Montcross Area Chamber members and friends meet for “Network After Work” at Brevard Station Museum on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 until 7 p.m. The address is 112 South Main Street in Stanley.
Begun in 1991, Brevard Station Museum features a wide assortment of historical artifacts and exhibits on town history, the textile industry, the railroad, farm life, vintage clothing, the military and other collections.
At the event, a new history book titled “Images of Stanley,” by Joyce Handsel, Pat Smith and Ruth Wood, will be introduced.
“Network After Work” is the Chamber’s most popular regular event and is hosted at least once each month at a member location. The reception provides members an opportunity to make business contacts, while enjoying refreshments and learning about the host business or organization.
There’s no cost to attend “Network After Work,” and non-members who have an interest in the Chamber or in learning about Brevard Station Museum are welcome. Please register online at www.MontcrossAreaChamber.com. For more information on Brevard Station Museum, go to www.brevardstation.com, or call 704.263.9801.
