Make your voice heard in support of rapid transit to Gaston County
As Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) studies options for light rail and other forms of rapid transit along the West Corridor to the airport area, Gaston residents have a chance to make their voices heard in support of extending the service across the Catawba River into Gaston County.
A public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the Kimbrell Campus of Gaston College, 7220 Wilkinson Blvd., Belmont, NC 28012. Several meetings have been held in Charlotte, but this is the first for Gaston County.

Attend the meeting, if you can. It’s important to demonstrate support for rapid transit here. If you cannot be present, all public meetings will be streamed live via CATS Facebook page.
There’s also an online survey Gaston County residents should complete to show support. Here’s the link: https://lynxsystemupdate.metroquest.com/. A Spanish version also is available at: https://lynxsystemupdate-sp.metroquest.com/. Additional information at www.ridetransit.org, or at CATS Customer Service at 704.336.7433.
